South Florida Man Arrested After Following Woman Home From Gym

You know you are old when you reminisce about what it was like to drive before GPS navigation became ubiquitous. If you were going to a friend’s house for the first time, your friend had to tell you the directions on the phone, and you had to write them down. If your friend possessed unusual forethought, he or she might even draw a map for you while you were together in person, and you could follow it when it came time for the pre-planned social event. Of course, all of this required you to keep track of the paper map your friend drew, or even memorize the relevant parts of it. You could not take a picture of the map with your phone; using a phone to take a picture was unimaginable. More exhilarating was when you were out with a group of friends, and you decided to migrate as a group to a new destination, but you needed to take two cars. In heavy traffic, you were careful never to take your eyes off your friend’s car as it drove ahead of yours; you couldn’t call your friend or use GPS navigation if you were unsure of your next move. Today, there is no good reason to follow someone, especially someone who has not asked you to follow them. A Miami-Dade County man is facing criminal charges arising from an incident when he followed a woman home from the gym. Road Rage Indecent Exposure Might Not Be an Isolated Incident
On May 15, 2026, a woman was driving home after a workout at a gym in the Brickell neighborhood of Miami, when she noticed a gray Tesla following her closely. When she stopped at the intersection of South Dixie Highway and Southwest 70th Street, the Tesla pulled up next to her, and the driver made direct eye contact. The woman then noticed that the man had pulled down his pants. She called the police to complain about the incident.
Based on the accuser’s description of the man and his vehicle, including its license plate number, police were able to locate and arrest the Tesla driver, which the Yahoo news website described as a 50-year-old man for Pinecrest. Law enforcement agencies in Miami-Dade County have received other, similar complaints about a man in a gray Tesla following women and behaving indecently toward them. If it turns out that the incidents are related, the Tesla driver could also face more criminal charges if the evidence against him is sufficient to warrant a criminal charge.
