March 2007
State v. A.H.:
Defendant was charged with Trafficking in Hydrocodone and Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Deliver after a
traffic stop by police. Defendant faced a minimum mandatory three (3) year prison sentence. CASE DISMISSED
April 2007
State v. L.W.:
14 y/o defendant charged with Lewd and Lascivious Battery. After pointing out the weaknesses in the State's
case Mr. Scriven set the case for trial. State decided to drop all charges. CASE DISMISSED
May 2006
State v. H.L.:
Defendant charged with Trafficking in over 200 grams Cocaine and Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Sell. DEA
began investigating case. Mr. Scriven convinced the feds not to prosecute and worked out agreement with state
wherein charges were reduced and Defendant avoided seven (7) year minimum mandatory sentence.
October 2006
State v. T.W.:
Defendant charged with Trafficking in Cocaine, Trafficking in MDMA, Possession of Alprazolam and Possession of
Cannabis w/in 1000 ft. of a Public Housing facility. Initially, State was seeking 15 years in prison. After
thoroughly investigating the case, Mr. Scriven worked out agreement with the State where the charges were
reduced, defendant avoided prison, given three (3) years of probation with early termination and received
a withhold of adjudication.
October 2007
State v. T.D.
Defendant, arrested and charged with Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Sell after Police officer found cocaine
in center console of his car during traffic stop. Mr. Scriven pointed out the flaws in the state's case and set
the case for trial. State decided to drop all charges. Case Dismissed.
January 2008
State v. M.R.
Defendant arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Sell. Mr. Scriven met with prosecutors
and convinced them not to file formal charges. CASE DISMISSED.
July 2007
State v. JT
Defendant arrested and charged with Throwing a Deadly Missile. Mr. Scriven met with the prosecutors and convinced
the State not to file formal charges. CASE DISMISSED
August 2007
State v. RW
Defendant arrested and charged with Aggravated Battery and Throwing a Deadly Missile. Mr. Scriven met with
the prosecutors and convinced them not to file formal charges. CASE DISMISSED.
November 2007
State v. J.S.
Defendant charged with Aggravated Battery with Deadly Weapon/Great Bodily Harm, Facing 30 years in prison.
Mr. Scriven met with the prosecutors. CASE DISMISSED.
August 2007
State v. K.W.
Defendant charged with Battery. Mr. Scriven met with the State and pointed out the weaknesses in the
State's case. CASE DISMISSED.
July 2007
State v. D.T.
Defendant charged with Aggravated Battery with Great Bodily Harm. Defendant was recently released from prison and
facing a mandatory 30 years in prison. Mr. Scriven met with prosecutors; negotiated plea to misdemeanor
battery and Defendant was given time served.
June 2007
State v. F.R.
Defendant charged with Armed Burglary of a Dwelling, facing 30 years in prison. Mr. Scriven met with prosecutors
and defendant was given three (3) years probation.

State v. A.C.
21 y/o Defendant charged with DUI. Case tried before a jury. NOT GUILTY
December 2007
State v. K.K
Defendant involved in automobile accident and subsequently charged with DUI. Mr. Scriven met with prosecutors. Case
reduced to Reckless Driving.
March 2007
State v. S.R.
Defendant arrested and charged with DUI. Mr. Scriven met with prosecutors. Case reduced to Reckless Driving.
August 2007
State v. L.V.
Defendant arrested for Felony fleeing to elude a Police Officer and Violation of Probation. Defendant initially
offered 13 months in prison with another attorney. Mr. Scriven negotiated with prosecutors and Defendant
given 30 days in jail.
January 2008
State v. D.R.
Defendant charged with Grand Theft. Mr. Scriven provided the state with exculpatory evidence. CASE DISMISSED
September 2007
State v. D.M.
Defendant's driver's license suspended for 5 years as Habitual Traffic Offender for getting 3 Driving on Suspended
License Cases within 5 years. Mr. Scriven took the cases back to court. Cases overturned and Defendant's
Driver's License reinstated.
